REQUIREMENTS

Dogworx Pet Ranch is open seven days a week, year round. We are closed to all pick-ups and drop-offs on most statutory holidays.  

All pick-ups and drop-offs are by appointment only. This allows us to keep disruptions (and noise levels) to a minimum so all our guests have a calm and happy stay.

IS YOUR DOG THE RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR DOGWORX?

The right candidate for Dogworx is a well-adjusted, non-aggressive, healthy dog. We do not accept aggressive dogs or dogs that have a history of aggression or reactivity to other dogs/pets or people. This is for the safety and well-being of all of our doggy friends and staff.  We feel we can’t provide a quality of care that meets our standards for these dogs.  We want the pets in our care to be as stress free and happy as possible. We do understand that not all dogs get enjoyment out of the daily activities we provide and some may even find it stressful and therefore feel these dogs are better suited to be cared for elsewhere – in an environment more able cater to their individual needs.

 

SPECIAL DOGS

That said, we accept special case dogs (such as one that may have certain health problems which require limited exercise etc.) on a case-by-case basis. Call us, and we will work together to build an individualized plan for your dog while he is in our care.

 

Intact Males: are considered intact if they are unneutered after one year of age. We will accept them as long as they fit in well with the pack.

FIRST-TIMERS

​ At this time, we are only accepting NEW overnight boarding dogs, that are already part of our daycare pack. It is important to us that your dog’s stay is as fun and stress-free as possible. By taking the time to gradually habituate your dog to the routine at Dogworx, we are setting them up to be happy, settled and comfortable during their first overnight stay and all future trips to the ranch. If you have a trip coming up and you’re considering boarding them overnight with us start by joining the daycare program!

For daycare you will need:

·        A signed Dogworx waiver.

·        A copy of your pet’s most recent vaccination certificate. We require all our dog guests to be up to date with their rabies, DA2PPV and Bordetella vaccines. For cats, we require Rabies and FVRCP. We will also accept a titer test with appropriate antibody levels if we have discussed it with your vet. Register and upload online.

·        All pet guests should be on a multi-spectrum flea and worm program like Advantage Multi.​

For overnight boarding you will also need:

·        An approved boarding assessment*.

·        Your pet’s food and feeding schedule. We supply bowls for food and water.

·        No beds or blankets necessary. We supply clean and comfy bedding.

·        Medication, if required. We are happy to administer any simple meds your pet needs.

We recommend a morning drop-off appointment on your pet’s first day at the ranch. This gives your dog time to meet the pack and settle in well before bedtime.

​*A boarding assessment and approval is required prior to a dog’s first overnight stay. This consists of up to 5 days of regular daycare. The reason we require this is because we want to make sure Dogworx is the best option for your dog and that they are comfortable during their stay. We do understand that not all dogs get enjoyment out of the daily activities we provide and some may even find it stressful and therefore feel these dogs are better suited to be cared for elsewhere – in an environment more able cater to their individual needs.

Exceptions to the above may be granted if you’ve had a family emergency and require urgent care for you pet.
