Meet the Team:

Milan Jackson (Owner) is passionate about animals. She has worked in animal boarding facilities and stables for over 17 years. She is a certified professional dog trainer as well as certified in Dogsafe Canine First Aid. Milan’s father owned and operated a boarding facility, and much of her childhood was spent in the company of dogs, cats and horses. She is an avid equestrian and has been in the saddle since she was five years old. The joy of bonding with animals inspires her every day.
Will Jackson (Owner) is a serious animal lover. His love for animals began with his childhood pet and best friend, Radar. He has spent the last 20 years caring for dogs. He worked for many years in boarding facilities and has a special interest in the social dynamics of dog packs. Will is certified in Dogsafe Canine First Aid. Will enjoys the outdoors and likes to keep busy on the ranch, where he can usually be found playing with the dogs.

Jacob Bristow spent most of his career in the hospitality and management industry however, his love for animals has always been present. His first ever job as a kid, was walking dogs in his neighbourhood since he wasn’t able to have a pet growing up. After getting dogs of his own, he realized not just how much he enjoyed being around them but also training them! He joined the Greater Victoria dog training club, where he participated in a variety of different dog training classes. After getting to know Dogworx as a place for his current dog Dax, he made the switch to join our team. Jacob loves being with the animals and is in his element with the pack! Jacob started working with us in October 2021!

Lesley Wilson has always had a passion for animals and nature. While living in Panama and later in California where she enjoyed a lengthy break from the workforce, Lesley seized the opportunity to switch career paths from her usual administrative & accounting roles. She learned her true passion laid with veterinary surgery while on a two-month internship with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Lesley earned her Associate Degree in Veterinary Medicine in New Mexico, became a RVT & specialized in anesthesia and surgical assistance. Always wishing she could be working outside, Lesley’s little piece of daily heaven with Dogworx is the group walk where she is often found taking endless amounts of pictures of all the guests! Lesley's first day with us was Nov 22, 2022.

Sophie Slokov has always loved animals and been fascinated by their inner lives. She has worked in many different fields, but being with animals has always been her biggest passion. Sophie is certified in Dogsafe Canine First Aid and has earned 2 trick dog titles and a canine good neighbour title with her own dogs. When Sophie isn't keeping busy with your special companions at the ranch, she can be found enjoying the outdoors and training her Tazmanian devil that wears a border collie costume. Sophie's first day working with us was April 4, 2023.
Andrew Morrison will be recognized by many as the friendly face that greeted us at Powell River Veterinary Hospital. Inspired by Free Willy to see orcas in the wild, Andrew moved from his birth town in Scotland to the coast of BC. Following a love of nature has led him to working various jobs with animals, both domestic and wild. Especially fond of dogs and their fun-loving nature, Andrew is stoked to be a professional dog friend and the newest member of the Dogworx Family. He started with us in February 2025.
